2024 College Scholarship

Congrats to our 2023 Scholarship winner, Tyler Green!

Tyler Green, an Arizona State University senior, is the 2023 college scholarship winner from PinPoint Leak Detection & Repair. Tyler is graduating this year with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He has worked at DAS Technology, a Scottsdale-based consumer engagement technology company, for a year and a half and was recently promoted to a Paid Media Specialist.

Tyler plans to use his marketing degree to continue advancing his career at DAS. Eventually, he aims to open a sports marketing agency focusing on basketball.

“I’m excited about the science behind marketing and its impact on people’s everyday lives” he said. “This scholarship means a lot to me because it helps my family financially. I’m very proud to be at ASU and thankful for the PinPoint Leak Detection & Repair scholarship. This feels like an achievement to be recognized like this. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.”

The 23-year-old lives in Scottsdale. His hobbies include going to the gym, hanging out with friends, hiking, traveling, and playing basketball.

PinPoint Leak Detection’s Innovation Scholarship

PinPoint is a growing leak detection & repair company in Arizona. This scholarship has been created so that we can give back to the community that gives our company purpose. We believe in hard work, education, and innovative thinking. We want to find an Arizona student that embodies these qualities and provide them with a $1,000 scholarship towards furthuring their education.

Submission Requirements

To Apply For the Scholarship We Require The Following:

1.) Pick one(1) of the following prompts below and present your answer using the media form of your choice (ex: essay, video, graphic design, drawing, powerpoint, etc) :

  • Tell us about an experience you have had at any point in your life & how it has helped influence your development.
  • What do you feel is one of the most pressing societal issues today & why? What possible solution(s) do you propose to help fix this issue?
  • If you had the authority to make positive change in your own community, what changes would you make & why?
  • If you could invent something, what would it be and what problem would it solve?
  • Tell us about a time when you learned from someone who is very different from you.

You can go about this in any way you want. We encourage you to get creative and be unique! 

2.) In 250-500 words tell us more about why you are a great candidate for this scholarship. Answer one(1) of the following questions:

  • How do you plan to use your education to make a change in society?
  • How have you helped (or how do you plan to help) the community?
  • What motivates you to continue with your education?
  • What are your short & long term goals?

Eligibilty

The following eligibility requirements must be met in order to be considered for the scholarship: 

 

    • Must be an Arizona Resident
    • Must be registered as a student at an accredited college or university in Arizona ONLY
    • Must have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Terms

  • Scholarship recipients are required to submit a current photo and a publicity release granting PinPoint Leak Detection & Repair permission to use their photo online at pinpointleakaz.com and in other marketing materials and communications. The release form will be emailed to you following your submission.
  • Winner will be contacted by phone or email. If we don’t hear back from winner in a specified time frame, we reserve the right to cancel the scholarship offer and award it to another applicant.
  • Winner will be announced by December 22, 2024.
  • The scholarship amount will be given to the university or college where the winner is currently enrolled. The money is to be used to further the student’s education, including course-related expenses, books and supplies, housing, etc.
