The weather is still warm these times of year, but hotels are less crowded and activities are easier to access. And while you’re in Tempe, check out the historic Mill Avenue downtown which traces roots back to 1874 when early settlers this as a main agriculture root for goods passing through Arizona. 

If you’re looking for an outdoor activity to do in Tempe, check out the hiking trail on Hayden Butte. This butte is a large hill that isn’t quite considered a mountain. Hayden Butte is commonly referred to as “A” Mountain to the locals because of the giant letter A perched on the side of the mountain that represents Arizona State University. It’s a common battleground between ASU and neighboring University Of Arizona campus with regards to college bragging rights.
